An Estate Agent's Obligation To You
Your estate agent, whether they represent the seller
or the buyer, is legally obligated to:
- Put their client's interests above anyone else's
- Keep their client's information confidential
- Obey their client's lawful instructions;
- Report to their client anything that would be useful
- Account to their client for any money involved
- Before you start working with an estate agent, ask
them for clarification of their understanding of regulations
and the agent’s responsibilities.
